About our fees

Sriharans Solicitors are regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA). In accordance with the SRA’s price and service transparency rules, we are required by the SRA to provide price information with regards to the preparation and submission of certain types of immigration applications.

 

Immigration Team

Sriharans Solicitors provide expert immigration specialist service in your immigration matter in a professional and diligent manner. The quality of our service is evident from the from the success rate in our clients’ applications and appeals.

Our team has over 30 years of collective experience in delivering high quality work in all matters relating to private Immigration law and Nationality.

Our Private Immigration Team consists of Mr A Sriharan, Ms K Panesar, and Mr R Muzni who are qualified and/or accredited by the Law Society. Mr Sriharan is the Head of the Immigration Department and the Senior Partner of the Firm. Mr Sriharan and Ms Panesar are Accredited Supervisors by the Law Society.

The information on our fees relates to the standard types of visa and immigration applications, such as:

  • Applications for naturalisation or registration under the British Nationality Act 1981
  • Applications on behalf of the European Economic Area (EEA) nationals and their family members under the applicable EEA Regulations or Immigration Rules, including applications for permanent residence, residence cards, and registration certificates
  • Applications under the Immigration Rules, including:
    • student and work experience visas
    • visit visas (for tourism, or visiting friends or family)
    • spouse and partners applications, including fiance(e)s or proposed civil partners
    • applications for work, business or study under the Points-Based System
    • dependent relative and family reunion applications
    • ancestry visas
    • other categories, such as applications on the basis of long residence.

 

Agreed Fixed Fees

We will charge you agreed fixed fee for our professional immigration services in relation to the following applications (The agreed fee will depend on the complexity of your matter and the amount of work involved). It is important to note that all applications are likely to vary according to individual circumstances and the complexities involved in a matter. Therefore, we can provide you with a more accurate fee once we have more information about your specific case.

Please note that all fixed fees quoted below are exclusive of VAT. VAT is charged at 20% and will be applicable depending on your specific circumstances.

 

Applications for naturalisation or registration under the British Nationality Act 1981:

Adult applications: £800

Children under 18: £600

What Service is included

We will assess your eligibility for naturalisation as a British Citizen by considering all the relevant information including your past immigration history. We will advise you on the chances of success in your application for naturalisation as a British Citizen and would draw your attention to any weaknesses in your application. We will advise you on the list of documents to be submitted in support of your application for naturalisation as a British Citizen. We will assess all the supporting documents to ensure that the documents you provide duly satisfy the Home Office UKVI requirements for naturalisation as a British Citizen. We will complete application form AN online, submit the same online, help you pay the Home Office UKVI fee for naturalisation as a British Citizen and schedule your appointment with the UKVCAS appointment centre for enrolment of your biometrics; If necessary, we will prepare a detailed cover letter in support of the application explaining in detail your eligibility for naturalisation as a British Citizen by referring to all the relevant information, documents, laws and requirements. We will upload all the supporting documents online to be considered in support of the application including our cover letter prepared to support your application. We will carry out all the work on your application for naturalisation as a British Citizen until a decision is received from the Home Office UKVI on your application.

 

Applications on behalf of the European Economic Area (EEA) nationals and their family members under the applicable EEA Regulations:

EEA Registration Certificate for EU nationals: £800

EEA residence card: £800

EEA Settled or Pre Settled Status for EEA nationals and family members: £800

Residence Cards for non EU national family members: £1,200

EEA Permanent Residence Card: £1,200

EEA Family Permit application: £1,200

What Service is included

Our fees for making an application will include consultations, taking detailed instructions, considering documents and advising on timelines, considering the documents making the application by post or on line where applicable, full preparation of the application pack with detailed legal representations until a decision is made.

 

Entry Clearance Applications (out of country) Visa Application to join family:

Spousal/Fiancee/Proposed Civil Partner/Unmarried partner: £1,500 plus £800 sponsorship declaration.

Visit Visa for tourism or visiting friends/family: £1,200

Adult Dependant Relatives: £2,000

Family reunion – family members to join a refugee in the UK : £1,200

What Service is included

We will assess your eligibility for visa entry clearance by considering your circumstances, advising on strengths and weaknesses of the application, advising on the relevant documents to be submitted in support of the application, assessing the documents to ensure that the evidence is as per the requirements of the Home Office Immigration Rules. Completing and submitting the online application to apply for entry clearance by gathering all relevant information provided by you. Assisting to pay the online application fee and IHS fee (where applicable). Where necessary, providing witness statements/ Statutory Declaration of the Sponsor, preparing cover letter in support of the application. Uploading all the documents online and scheduling an appointment for submission of passport and enrolment of biometrics. Liaising with the Entry Clearance Officer until the outcome of the application.

We cannot guarantee how long the Home Office / Visa Centre will take to process your application. Please refer to the current processing times on the Home Office Website. The timescales may be affected by the ongoing pandemic.

Entry Clearance Application (applying from abroad): £1,800

Includes:

  • Tier 2 skilled worker
  • Tier 4 students
  • Tier 5 temporary workers
  • Ancestry visas (If you are a Commonwealth citizen, have a grandparent who was born in the UK and are able to and planning to work in the UK)

 

In Country Further Leave to Remain/Extension Applications: £1,500

These include, but are not limited to:

  • Spousal
  • Fiancee
  • Proposed Civil Partner
  • Unmarried partner
  • Family life and Private life routes

What Service is included

Our fees for making an in country application will include consultations, taking detailed instructions, considering documents and advising on timelines, drafting statements, providing a tailored made list of documents specific to your case to support the application, assessing each document to ensure maximum chance of success, making the application by post or on line where applicable, full preparation of the application pack with detailed legal representations. The cost quoted does not include where the Home Office refuse your application, advice and assistance in relation to any appeal.

 

Indefinite leave (ILR / Long Residence Applications)

  • Spousal/Civil Partner/Unmarried partner: £1,500
  • Tier 2: £1,500
  • Long Residence 10 Years (continuous legal residence): £1,500
  • Long Residence 20 Year route (lawful and unlawful residence): £1,750

Appeals

Where the Home office refuses your application only initial advice in relation to a potential appeal will be included in the Agreed fees. Any further work to submit the appeal to the First Tier Tribunal will attract a separate fixed fee. Again they are quoted without VAT (of 20%).

  • Filing an appeal: £600
  • Representation at the First tier Tribunal appeal hearing: £1,500
  • Additional hearings: £800

What Service is included

Our fees for lodging and representing an appeal before the First Tier Tribunal will include drafting grounds of appeal, lodging with the Tribunal, consultations, taking detailed instructions, considering documents and advising on timelines, drafting statements, providing a tailored made list of documents specific to your case to support the appeal, assessing each document to ensure maximum chance of success, preparing court bundles, liaise with the Tribunal, Home Office, instructing a Barrister and any Experts. If the appeal is unsuccessful, the cost quoted does not include any advice and assistance in relation to any onward appeal.

What is not included in the Fixed fees?

Some disbursements will attract VAT (of 20%) and some will not like Court fees however, we will confirm the same with you:

  • Expert report fees
  • Cost of interpreters if required
  • Translations
  • Home Office / Visa fees and any Premium Service supplements
  • Immigration Health Surcharge
  • Court/Tribunal fees
  • Housing Reports for Immigration purposes
  • DNA tests where appropriate
  • Any other cost related to your matter that are payable to third parties
